Short version: we collect nothing. Longer version below.
No servers, no accounts
EcoPilot AI is a static application. There is no backend, no database and no account system. We physically cannot collect your sustainability data because it never leaves your device.
Your API key stays local
API keys entered in Settings are stored in your browser's localStorage and sent only to the provider you chose, directly from your browser. EcoPilot's authors never receive a copy.
Local storage only
Calculations, habits, plans and reports persist via localStorage on your device. Clearing site data or using Factory Reset removes everything permanently. Exports are files you create and keep.
What providers see
Prompts you send (including uploaded images or document text) go directly to your chosen AI provider and are subject to that provider's privacy policy. Review it before uploading sensitive material.
Third parties
- • Your AI provider — receives only the requests you initiate, using your key.
- • Vercel Analytics (optional) — if the deploy enables it, anonymous page-view counts are collected by Vercel under their policy. Self-hosted builds can remove it with one line.
- • Nothing else. No cookies, no fingerprinting, no ad networks.
