EcoPilot AI began as a submission for GatewayGS & The AEI Initiative — AI 4 Earth Hackathon with a simple observation: people care about the planet, but sustainability advice is scattered across articles, calculators and PDFs that never talk to each other. We built the missing workspace — one place where your footprint, habits, data and reports live together, with an AI advisor that actually knows the domain.

The bring-your-own-key model
Instead of shipping a server that holds secrets and burns margin on tokens, EcoPilot connects directly to any OpenAI-compatible endpoint — OpenAI, OpenRouter, Groq, DeepSeek, Together, or fully local runtimes like Ollama and LM Studio. The app never sees a key it cannot lose, because keys never leave your device.
